Before a single roll of fabric goes into bulk production, the Design & Sampling department works through a buyer's requirements — target fabric weight, stretch, hand-feel, color and end use — and translates them into a concrete construction: yarn selection, weave or knit structure, and finishing plan.
Small-batch sample yardage is produced first so the buyer can review and approve the fabric before it commits to a full production run. This keeps grey-to-finish manufacturing accurate the first time, reducing rework once bulk weaving, knitting, dyeing and printing begin.
Design & Sampling sets the direction for everything that follows on the floor.
Buyer requirements are reviewed and converted into a fabric construction plan.
A small run is woven or knitted to the planned spec for evaluation.
The buyer reviews the sample against their brief before bulk production is scheduled.
The approved construction moves to Weaving & Knitting, then Dyeing & Finishing.
